MLC PICTURE OF THE MONTH- FEBRUARY:
Abraham Lincoln (born February 12, 1809) covered Household Magazine’ 110 years ago, in February 1903. Household’s editorial read:
“The position which Lincoln holds in the hearts of the American people is unique. It is not, perhaps, that he was such a great man. It is not that the nation recognized in him its highest ideal of greatness. He was both good and great, but it was the essential humanness of the man that made him what he must always be in our history.”
